Default rope for comealong/fiddleblock system

I need a new rope for my comealong system... I use the old petzl rescue double prusik minding pulleys (red and gold) for up to 13mm rope and 44kn (9900lbs). The system is put together as a 5:1 progress capturing.

I have been using Samson Arbormaster as it is strong and stays nice and round in the pulleys.

Has anyone used 1/2" (13mm) double braid rigging rope such as Stable Braid or Double Esterlon for such a system? I'm wondering if a lot of energy would be wasted with the rope flattening out in the pulleys. I was thinking it might be a good idea though because of its lower stretch....
