Default newguy's srt tech.

I figured i'd post something i've been using for srt.The ascending method saves tons of energy as opposed to footlocking but is not good for descending.I got the bugs worked out of the hitch but must warn that while it descends srt without a figure 8 it is extremly fussy and creeps just a bit after you release it,only about 1/2 an inch.

Reminds me of this cable ladder we had when we went caving .... a bugger when it's hard up against the rock face plus the spinning sucked.

Is that a <gasp> screw lock biner clipping you into your harness?

I can't really comment on the technique as it's pretty different from anything I've ever used. Looks a little ungracefull, but if it works then
