I expect he means circumference, or about 5 feet diameter. Certainly the trunk in post #14 isn't any more. I'll have to dig up some photos of a large willow I did a few years ago, about 5 feet in diameter -- it was an interesting job,

Hello, I was just reading the posts on the monster tree take down, sounds
like a pretty big tree. It must be a WHOLE lot easier having a ground crew
to help out with all the clean up? I have to do most of my work myself. Now
don't get the wrong idea, there's always some one around to make sure I
don't cut my arm off (haha). I recently dropped a willow with a 4'+ DBH, it
was dropping some pretty big limbs into my brother-in-law's yard. There's
always something to learn from every job, work safe! NHlocal.
