|  kask or petzl climbing helmets
has anyone been using the new kask super plasma or petzl alveo climbing helmets? im looking to buy new ones, and before i drop $1000 on them for the guys, i would like to know more from those that have been using them. thanks.

On the helmets alone, it's close but think the Alveo is a better helmet. And a major advantage is the standard slot-in earmuffs. Kask is meant to have screw-in ones, but in the US it seems there is only adapters for the slotin earmuffs available. These are a bit gumby and not how the helmet was designed to be used. |

so would that mean that the ear muffs dont fit as tight as they should? especially with safety glasses on?

You wouldn't need sunglasses with a Kask helmet though as it has the visor type protection.
