hey. i just purchased a static line, its yale kernmeister 11mm. ive been footlocking for a while just with my normal climbing set up and want to get into SRT and double line foot locking. could someone help me out with whats the best kind of prussick for this? also getting the right length? and do you tripple wrap your prussick? would be much appreciated! THANKS! |

| Petzl Pantin Foot Ascender check out this link, u wont wanna do another foot lock once you used one of these bad boys! really light weight and so easy to use. makes hunching a breeze! |

Foot ascenders are great for short climbs but if you are going a long way Go With SRT or footlock... in that order. I find footlocking good but still very tiring. SRT gear is more expensive but a lot less effort. I good length for a foot lock prussik is from the ground to your belly button.. once you tie your klemheist onto your rope and a girth hitch onto your carabiner it should be a pretty good length for you to reach right up. If you can affort an SRT setup go for that !!! |
