| I'm a little concerned that i should be using my climbing line choked off in addition to my lanyard, (If i need to descend quickly for any reason). I know his is standard practice when working down a sparr on removals, but is it used when pruning palms? I choke off my lanyard now, incase my spikes kick out, or when i'm working from a ladder, and the ladder fails, my lanyard will hold me. Any schooling you have for me will be helpful. ![]() |

| yes you need that double tie in wether removing or pruning.Tie a prusik or other friction hitch on your climb line and below it a figure eight descender so if something happens you can be on the ground in a few seconds.
