Default chainsaw pants for hot weather?

The last pair of chainsaw pants i bought were those husqy tech 20s, that i really dislike as they are very very very hot, i think its because they are a tighter fit and that restricts airflow.

Anyone got any stihl forest wear classic trousers.

So anyone got a pair of chainsaw pants they feel are particularly cool.

I have a pair of old cloggers that are 2 sizes too big and i think the extra airflow helps allot.

I use cloggers aswell and have noticed them hotter on warmer days.....like having a jacket on in summer imo....safety factor out ways the discomfort, just dont ask me this when I'm slice n and dice n up a trunk in the heat of summer.

Going a size big and using braces can help.

Stretch Air & SIP Progress are both a lot cooler than the Huskys.

Hey there!

I´ve just bought the stretch air pants to.
They are perfect I think! Good fit, and the stretch is real good for climbing!

But don't know if they are to hot for Australia. For the dutch winters and summers they not to hot and not to cold sow!!

I don't understand what is so uncomfortable about normal chainsaw pants, the "climbing pants" all seem to be very tight fitting and that's all well and good for the gay pride march, but i need to be able to move around in the tree without being restricted by tight bloody pants.

I just wear the standard husky greens, and they are hot as hell in the summer, it's like wearing snowpants. I find they aren't too bad, but on a humid day, I really wish I had something cooler. I have heard of guys sewing grommets into the back of their huskys to improve airflow, apparently it's great, just dont put them where your saddle sits.

As for right now, my pants are great it about -6 and windy, they're keeping my legs nice and toasty, well in the front at least.

I use the Stretch Air, full protection trousers. They are cool and light. Only problem is that they can get bloody cold in winter when they soak up the snow. Guess that's no problem when you live in paradise!

Never drop below 20 degrees C? That's crazy brother, the winter's the best time of year, it's cold as tits, the snow is 4ft deep, walking takes x5 longer, you lose dropped logs in the snow until you fall over them, and when it melts ever river stream and brook floods its banks and ends up in your basement.

But when you come in from the cold, and cozy up with your girl under a blanket in a warm bed, it makes it all worth while. It's the only time of year we both want to cuddle lol.

Well the heat of summer made me grab for my chaps...just so I could take them off after the chainsawing was done, it was extremely hot in Sydney this year...but it's starting to get cold now so it's time for the cloggers to come out of hibernation...the best of both worlds..
