Hey all just wondered if a class 1 splice is ok to do on 10 mm armour prus the use is for an access line. I have done a class 2 at present but am keen to know if class 1 is allowed ie allowed in comps?? Cheers

| check the donaghy's website. im pretty sure you can do both cos the cover and the core are both load bearing, the contention is with the 8mm, your only supposed to do a class 2 on that and a class one wont pass at a comp. donaghys should change this tho because it has been proven to exceed 24kn in break tests. check the construction of the rope and make sure you whip stitch it good, slippery stuff.
