Tree roots laws

Lookin for info on this matter seems tricky to get better undersatnding..
Scenario 1. My tree puts its roots under the boundary fence and they lift a few loose paver's of my neighbor patio. Who then shows good evidence of this sayin, I must now pay top dollar to remove roots refit pavers as new.

A.1 He can abate cut roots and fix his paver's but nay can claim any cost of repair.
A 2. He can with a Court order claim costs and loss from me.
A 3.????

He can only claim and recoup costs if you were previously informed.

You could be "neighbourly" and go 1/2's.

You could say it was his fault for letting the problem get so far too.

Ok thanks "previously informed" twas not. Been tryin to be nice hes and she as got two on the go want to play hard. Both easy fix for tops $500 they want $5000. Crap sod off.
As just loose sand based paver's take a diy about 3 hours to lift cut roots relay.

May use the own fault trick but hopin good sense will prevail. Ha you can tell fast that some are just NQR and get a pants chubby from pushin the fight.
