Anyone else seen the ad's in the paper advising of a new federal licensing system to replace state "tickets" for high risk occupations? Does anyone know the guts of it? Does it affect tree work? Cheers, Kevin |

Bloke down the pub told me the local councils will have registered/licensed tree companys and permits to remove trees will be issued only to them,Not sure if its correct but it could well be.

It was a hard copy ad in the paper, I couldn't find it on line. I'll look again today & scan it if I find it again. The gist of it was that they are doing away with state issued tickets like EWP etc & issuing commonwealth licences to replace them. Not sure if chainsaws are included, but suspect they may be.
