Default California in the U.S.A.

Okay...

Found the California Contractors Board website...

Contractors Overview

Go to Resources, then License Classifications.

Next, it's way down the list, click...

C 61

Specialty Contractors

That's where Tree Services are.

Cool Re: California in the U.S.A.

Was currious af anyone was familiar with the desil engine emmission regulations in california. I do not know this for sure but I am under the impression that any chipper over 50 horse power is illegal unless it is new. Anyone familiar with the new law??

Havent a clue....

However, you might check with a nearby rental yard. I've used chippers from them both under and over 50hp. They might have some idea what the specs on the law are if they have to operate within them.

I'm not sure I see the point except for saftey. It's not like a 40hp chipper wont pull a person through just as easily.

Hows the thread hijacked? This thread is for laws pertinent to operating in California.
