OK I have thought of a negative; membership can create the impression in some people that they have achieved something, when they have actually only opened up the opportunity to achieve something more..whether they actually take up that opportunity is really up to them.[/quote]

too many "isa arborists" think that the learning stops once you get certified...they never stay current with the changing research and info available....
