I have also used the Draft Australian Tree Valuation method which I also like very much...doubt we'll see that as a standard before winter next year.
As pointed out in the comparative article the weakness in all these systems is the assessor...ie us
When values attributed to trees are sumed in the equation any variation between individual assessors becomes hugely significant hen it comes to the latter values in the valuation method....this is also true in all the methods of risk assessment as well interestingly....it all comes down to our abilities, and if the valuation is to be used in court to establish costs for tree damages, our ability to defend the judgements we have made under close examination.
