It's been raining all week, some pretty fierce winds, up to approx 80km/h where I live, no real tree damage however media reports the odd one down.
As I type we have had 95mm for the week in my guage here. It's mounted on a roof and not influenced by trees etc, very accurate.
The pool was nice and full so I got to backwash it for the first time in a while. For those who dont know what it means ... you reverse the water flow and pump it out to waste, cleans the filters some. The hardness is still off the end ... the only thing that reduces water hardness in a pool is fresh water. If your hardness is 1000ppm and you half empty the pool and fill it then it will go to 500ppm and when 200ppm is optimal you can see the problem ... mines past 1000ppm! I have no aluminium ladders or bits in the pool so scale build up is not happening for me however it does not do the liner etc any favours.
Hopefully some of the rain went in the dams. |
