I just heard about this today when listening to the Rush Limbaugh radio show.
He mentioned that some people are trying to tie global warming to the bridge collapse.
Even if the weather was hot, its not an excuse for the collapse, because bridges are not built to handle extremes, they must far exceed extremes.
Like on the Oregon coast where its rarely over 85 degrees F., they can't have a bridge that will collapse at 102 degrees F.
It would have to be able to handle 150 degrees, if that even mattered. |
