That's because they are designed to make your work easier and earn you greater income. You buy a chipper because it is more an investment than a tool. The way you do your cleanups will never be the same.
You'll be able to pay for your machine in the frame of a month, so unless the thing crashes and burns, you found yourself a deal. I'm really happy for you.
The way a machine gerts run 'hard' is running it with filthy oil, running it with dull knives, overworking the thing with too big or too many limbs at once, having the anvil not set right, what else? bad hydraulic fluid.
All those things can be avoided. Your 'new' engine should run all day, for years, and a 90 HP, I'd have to say, that's pretty phat. Almost overpowered, if there could be such a thing.
If that deal would have come across my plate, I'd have had to buy it without really needing it.
Here's where to get your knives. They come to our treecare shows. They sell a high quality chipper knife, and resharpen your old ones. I imagine they'll run you about $25 per knife. Do you have an air impact wrench and a compressor?
