The way I read it it's an ass about VPO system.
Nothing is protected unless it's nominated with a reason as to why and accepted by the council.
This is the opposite to the preferred system which gives criteria for all vegetation (within certain parameters) to be protected.
For instance, you'll see many VPO's which say "all vegetation exceeding 300mm in dia measured at 1.2m above ground level or exceeding 5m in height" is protectedunless such vegetation is within 3m of an approved building or specified as a significant landscape tree. How easy is that? |
