Bed knife/ anvil clearance and condition is critical. Sharp knives wont help much if anvil is rounded. Too much clearance will produce stringy mulch and increase chance of clogging output chute. These machines are great with 80hp Perkins and lift and crush fitted. 46 and 60 hp are a bit under gunned.Dull knives will increase vibration and cause cracking of frame etc. every service, check tapered pins from drive motors to feed rollers are secure. |
