 Is it good to start tree climbing like me?
I started out reading and rereading probably 12 books until I understood everything about climbing and the trees in my area.I got a years worth of ground handling a chainsaw and practicing different cuts and learning proper pruning cuts.I bought 50' of rope and learned and memorized 24 knots.I then started rec climbing for a year and a half until I thought I had it down the started trimming and removing trees on the side.Started out with non risky ones and I learned how to rig on them.Now when people come to me about trees I decide if it is to risky for me or not and quote them or refer them to a tree care pro based on my decision. |
