Hi Ekka, You asked what that snakey tree is in my atavar. I've been waiting for someone to ask about that. Those are populus tremuloides or our most common native tree (the trembling aspen or poplar). These though are interesting, they don't know about gravity and normally grow straight as an arrow. The local info states that cattle would not graze near these trees and that the ground may be radioactive or that aliens had landed there and pissed on the ground. Who knows, but it's probably genetic, apparently the university of saskatchewan took some cuttings and they did not retain the upside down caracteristics. I would like to try myself. |
