Mark, how do you preserve the carving from decaying or weathering down over the years. Oil, paint, varnish? I figure we build houses out of wood and they stay for years so how would one try to preserve the carving in the garden?
Thanks, I enjoy carving alot and put my heart into it, nice to know that it shows.
Carvings left outside do best if they have a roof over them and are up off the ground, but this seldom happens. Spar Varnish works good, once a year. Nothing lasts forever, including carvings, but nice to see them last a long time
