having known project and area managers in both outfits have to say its a business 1st- they are driven by money. They also give back to the industry here in nz at a national level sponsering large events within the industry, climbing comps, conference, etc. but thats the big two here in nz.
they have great structure and they know how to get things done.
however-- staff really are a tool to these guys, you have to realise this if you are to work for them, but theres alot of very good arborists, and some bloody good blokes as well-just like any other company i guess of their size.
You just got to do the best you can do offer something more.
big may be good but small is nimble and smart.
