I'm sure taking the hyd load off of the engine gives it a little more power to drive the cutter wheel. Another advantage of the way you are driving the hyd with the Dingo is that if you really bog the cutter wheel engine in the stump the Dingo hyd will not be slowed down and can quickly pull up the cutter wheel.
On most stumpers when the engine is bogged in the stump the hyd system slows down proportionally making a quick pull out difficult. Your system doesn't have this fault.
