Re: So whadya get up to today. Yesterday Pomie and I did a half dead hoop pine in an absolute shocker of a tight spot. Between a pool and fence.
Had to take the fence out between two properties and get everything out through a 2' wide gap. PITA.
The top was dead and everything was "snappy"
Ole Pomie set up a pull rope in the top, did the scarf and back cut leaving a thick hinge and came down to lower it.
I pulled on the tag line and the top came off .... all went to plan and he lowered it, bits showering down of course.
Anyway, job complete 2.30pm all chipped and all happy. No pics or video as it was just the two of us ... we did have a second job to go to but in true wanker fashion the customer cancelled leaving a dollars shortage to pay for third worker.... so third worker dropped for day and we did this together. even this job when we arrived nearly cancelled .... a change of mind emotional thing yet the tree was certainly on it's way out with dead dropping off it.
The climber didn't want to be up there when the top went over, and he's no noob climber that's for sure. |
