I got foot plates on one set of my spurs but be aware, they dont fit ALLOY climbers.
Also, take the foot plate with you when buying boots as the boot must have a chunky enough heel to clear the centre of the plate.
In USA and Europe UK etc they buy boots which have a steel plate in the bottom. You wont feel the spurs pushing up at the arch of your feet, also when standing in tight forks the sides of your feet wont be crushed.
I know a climber here who swears by the Stihl boot and buys them from UK as sizes are bout the same where as USA sizes are different. The freight is the killer but he gets together with some other blokes and they split it. |
