Yeah, I said I'll do things a little different to the last guy and explained what I'm about ... they just went with the flow and enjoyed it.
We all develop our own style and uniqueness as climbers or tree workers. Me, I dislike mess. I like things organised and prepared.
Like a surgeon I'll have slings laid out in order, blocks, biners, saws etc all ready to go. If I need something I'll call it up, including drinks. I like the drop zone relatively clear, ropes tidy etc. And these guys responded to that very well. In fact I commend them on their preparation.
Before that job we had a little fence-line prune job (neighbours fighting over trees yet again), I look and then lay out the gear I'll need, get my high point and call the gear up as required. I think they like it like that, I dont think they're used to it and everything goes smooth. |
