I'm attached 2 ways, the piece I'm cutting is tied with a running bowline backed up with a half hitch. My two points of attatchment are about to be pinched by the block when that piece comes off. I used to do this all the time and now I've learned my points of attatchment can be severed. Good thing I didn't learn the hard way.
