Default Simple Tricks

Ok here is where you can share your secret discoveries that make your life easier when working on saws or cutting down trees.

Just figured this first one out....

I just discovered this one today.

You know that Navel Jelly stuff? It contains Phosphoric Acid. Its a form of hydrochloric acid, which happens to be the main ingredient of Muriatic Acid.

Where is all this Heading???

Sticky Acid Man!

Mix 6 onces Navel Jelly to 3 onces muriatic acid. or 2 to 1. Stir...stir...stir...SHAKE VIOLENTLY!!! RUN!!!!!

No, it will not explode. But it stick to the sides of a chrome impregnated cylinder with build up of a heated piston. Brush the stuff only where you want it. And it will not drip out like straight Muriatic acid will. Nor will it drip down the ports or into the transfers.

How did I discover this? At work trying to remove calcium deposits from the sides of stainless steel. Make sure you wear safety goggles when you do anything with acid... don't ask how I know this.....

Scott.
