It goes without saying that you need to clean your spark plugs as well.Clean or replace about every 25k to 40k miles.Also if your have a carbuerated vehicle spring for a really good tuneup go with a racing coil,8mm wires at a minmum 8.5mm are better,header plugs,if electronic ignition replace the pick up coil with one made by the same co that makes the coil[accel for example] or points and a condenser from the same co.It can run you up too almost 200 in parts but were are talking about a 4to 5 mpg gain here.Also get the biggest carb you can for yuor vehicle,more but less fuel consumption,it doesn't make sense but its true.
