While we were there his buddy stopped in and had us come over to his hanger. The guy has a Mig 19 from Poland... fully rebuilt, fully operational. Thing was friggin awesome! He said it's about 1.28 miles to the gallon, lol, burns 385 gallons an hour. Hot damn! I could never afford to keep it in the air, that's for sure.
Gonna end up doing the fellow's tree's on tues, and we're going flying later in the week.
Last thing I was up in was a Grumman Cheetah, low wing, top end rebuilt for more HP... fun little plane. | i've pondered about building a plane one day,i'm smart enough mechanically just waiting for me to say why not one day.retirements gonna be fun one day.  |
