Re: APRIL 25th ANZAC DAY We are a garrison city, almost every single person here knows someone who has a loved one or friend either currently in Iraq/Afganistan/Timor etc or who has been on tour there.
The Dawn service is hugely moving event here, maybe more than 4000 people standing silent at dawn this morning in memory of those who have put their lives on the line.
