Incidentally, I was over at a guy's place this evening returning his socket set. (a WW2 set that runs up to 4") He's also a tractor mechanic and he's been helping my friend and I as we've been rebuilding the hydraulic swivel motor on the excavator.
Anyhow... we got to talking about saws and he showed me his old Stihl 041, and as I was ogling it with my eyes, he brought out his 1940's homelite... that thing weighed a ton!!! What a bitchin saw though.
I'll have to ask him about the diesel saw thing.
