I am looking to purchase a Dolmar 7900 through a local dealer who provides great service. This saw seems to have become highly regarded. I have been undecided up to today whether to go for the Dolmar or the Stihl 460. My local Stihl dealer provides poor service, and a friend of mine was treated like garbage by him today. Seeing that I am now through with Stihl (due to the poor dealer support), the Dolmar 7900 is my choice but I do not know which bar and chain are the best for me. I will be cutting some very large logs and would like a 24" bar. The Dolmar is sold as a power head only. I like Stihl bars and chains, but it seems that Stihl bars are not compatible with Dolmar saws. Any suggestions?
