Default Re: Types of Biners you use.

When through reading this thread I found that the steel lockers I had ordered were no longer approved for tree work, I ordered four Kongs (two pictured).

If I am going to get any training I'll need to have the proper gear. I just don't see where I have been so hard headed with regards to upgrading my gear. I learned here that I was doing something wrong, I fixed it, thanks for your help.

I also want to do some rappelling. There are plenty of places here that are perfect for that. It's pretty big in fact, and there is training available at the popular sites.

I gather that the steel 'biners are OK for this recreational use. (would that include recreational tree climbing?), but I'll find out what the local regs are for rappelling gear when i get some instruction.
