Re: Another tree worker dies Therrin you can put a value on human life and they do. you can put a value on everything. I did not know this guy any better than I know any one of a million people who die on a daily basis. I gave condolences and they are sincere. If it suits you guys to live in a ridiculous judao christian world where you feel god has ordained you with some sense of superiority over other living things that is quite up to you. All living things are here for the benefit of others there is no heirarchy in nature everything is cyclical even in the food chain. My posts above were merely pointing out that on average men kill millions of trees a year and they may kill 15 of us and half of those the trees don't kill it is us killing ourselves through oversight or lack of knowledge. Yes you are right we have the capabilities of planting hundreds of trees but we don't not on average. Trees that are specifically planted for use I have no qualms with. It is the destruction of habitat and vegetation with only the human interest in mind that I have a dilemma with. You can argue till you are blue in the teeth but with 6.5 billion ppl on the planet and growing methinks you may have to reconsider your stance on the value of human life. |
