Yeah this happened awhile ago, but is still quite a good story.
One of my mates was actually locked up in Mount Druitt fishbowl when it was going on, the guy in the tank threatened to come through the cop shop, so they had to release all of their arrestees (???) perpatratiors... Told em all they'd come round to their houses and grab em later, LOL.
Mt druitt is a frequent/one of the most areas we service too, plus we used to live there :P

They followed the APC through several suburbs, including Mt Druitt, Dharruk, Emerton, Glendenning and Plumpton.
The APC left a path of destruction, bringing down a number of mobile phone towers and relay sheds, police said.
The pursuit ended in Dean Park after about 90 minutes, when the vehicle stalled as it was being driven towards another mobile phone tower.
Police arrested a 45-year-old Dharruk man and took him to Mt Druitt Police Station for questioning.
Mt Druitt police Chief Inspector Guy Haberley said the man was arrested on his way to damaging a seventh mobile telephone tower.
"He continued to destroy mobile phone tower communications sheds by crashing through the perimeter fence and colliding with structures causing significant damage," Insp Haberley told ABC radio.
It's believed the APC is an old vehicle from a private collection.
A man was later charged with a range of offences including six counts of malicious damage, break, enter and steal, predatory driving, possession of a prohibited drug, use of a weapon to avoid apprehension and driving in a dangerous manner.
He is due to appear in Parramatta Bail Court later today. |

Oh and if you're wondering how he stole it like the peeps on YouTube, the tank was being restored and the driver was the restoree = unlimited access.
The tank got thrashed and the owner had no insurance. Oh and one more thing, cuz' of that guy, the mobile phone reception was SHIT for like 8 months after this happened and is still very buggy today.
