It was probably at 2am when they drove away. My equipment moves from job to job. The hitch was locked. They probably rigged it with rope or chains, pulled it to a nearby garage. There they probably used a grinder to take care of the locks. It was spotted the next day across the river in Iowa. It was spotted because of the news piece and the logo on the trailer. The logo is one of the reasons I thought it would not ever be stolen... I cloud go on and on about the situation. What I understand now is that it's really easy to be a thief/criminal when your law enforcement personnel are lazy, incompetent, and apathetic. Dealing with the police was a mind blowing experience for me. I would have fired them all been before noon their first day on the job.
The theft was pretty brazen: I just didn't expect it.
