hey guys
some might have seen me on other forums over the last err, however long ive been on there going by this username or Jim.Lidgett on one or two.
what can I say, I'm recently turned 21, about to finish a BA(hons) degree in Music Production in Leeds which has been a waste of time and effort. if only I had had 20/20 hindsight on my side I would have taken a different route, but here I am.
Been working as a groundie for 3 years for different companies trying to get myself the most rounded experience of different work methods and ethics that I can. Been putting myself through my NPTC saw tickets and my most recent development being that Jim has finally left the ground!
after much deliberation I finally went with a 120 foot length of Yale XTC-12 which I find fantastic to handle, and use it with a blakes on a split tail climbing DRT and currently have on order some 6mm cord and a petzl micropulley to streamline my setup as per one of Ekka's own videos.
I'll be spending a lot of cash on gear soon, so i'll be looking at harness reviews (no more climbing in my sport harness) such as the butterfly 2 or the kolibri probably. and bothering you all for pointers as I progress with my climbing.
so there we have it. Hope this finds you all well, and I hope that I can be of some use around here soon.
Jim
