Same here, solar has right of way.
In England, they have the "Anti Social Behavioural Act - Trees" for people planting out boundaries removing sunlight. There is actual ways of calculating sunlight and they can come measure it.
I suppose we all have a right to certain things and the neighbour doesn't have supremacy to remove that right with a tree.

So as per the quote above if you want to go green too bad if the neighbours trees prevent it.

And the above stands true to. So if you move into an older suburb and want to go solar (here the govt throws $2k at you to do so) and the trees are obscuring the sun no matter where you try to mount then what?
