Before the climber goes up the tree(without him noticing), remove one of his gaffs from the shank.

Watch him try to kick in and miss or even better he steps on the other one and gets his motion going only to land on his ass. (And yes I'm aware of how much it hurts when you go to gaff in and you completely miss

)
