That's easy, what stops a hook coming out of a fishes mouth?
Ah HA!
So it drops on easy and lifts on easy without having to open gates like a biner it needs a small barb on the inside. This way if you were to invert or go sideways it wont easily slip out but likely get caught on the barb.
However at the same time if you grab the saw and lift it for use a jiggle etc should get it out no worries. The barb only needs to protrude the thickness of the ring on the lanyard, maybe 6mm will do it, and on a downward angle just like a fishing hook.
