Thank, YOU, Tara.
I'd like to
add to Tara's answer to Ekka's question:
Quote: Choose from 1-ply veneer with paper back, or 2-ply veneer.

So what does the difference look like?

The big reason you get one-ply on paper, or two-ply microveneer is because of cracking. A single layer of microveneer, on its own, would crack. Two layers, glued together, comes out looking like a single piece, but because you have two independent grain patterns fused, they support one another. Likewise, paper backing will support a single layer wood.
If you look
really close at the edge, you can see the glue-line between the layers.
Then there's a third, maybe it's lesser known, maybe more expensive, I don't know, but help me out, Tara, it is a plastic back laminate, super-thin plastic coating. I have gotten this on my birdseye maple cards, makes a very durable card, glossy-clear on the back, really enhances the grain.
What's up with the plastic laminate backing, Tara? We know you know....
