Transition Period Just a short note to let you know we are in a transition period that has taken some time to come about.
We are moving hosts and domain name registrars. It has taken a month of persistent emails to have the current host of the site unlock the domain name for transfer freeing us of any handcuffs they held.
I have chosen to have a registrar independent of hosting meaning we are totally free and not bound to any host.
A new host has been acquired and hopefully they do a better job, if they dont it's nice to know we have control of the domain and can go anywhere at any time.
During this transition period if the site goes down please be patient and do keep trying. Domain name registrars need to know who the host is and point the servers in the right direction. It could occur where that information is in "limbo" if the old registrar cuts us off and the new one doesn't have the domain details.
This is all for our benefit, to be free, independent and able to choose hosts. If performance of the site is lacking and support poor we can easily move about the net with new hosts, no more handcuffs.
Again, please be tolerant and patient, this process can take up to 7 days for domain name transfer and another couple of days on top of that for hosting transfer. |
