Don't ask me to explain why, I can't, there is no good reason for what you're about to see.
The point of posting these shots is to look at how ignorant cutting results in opening up the tree, or more accurately protions of the tree to wind loading forces that it has never experienced before. Branches and imbs that have always been within the upper canopy are now exposed to loading as if they were edge of canopy. The cellular structure within the barnches and limbs of these now exposed sections have none of the reaction wood laid down as they grew in response to wind loading since there was very little. As you'll see the very elogated form of the limbs typical of a very broad spreading decurrent canopy makes excellent lever arms
From the back side of the tree looks like not much wrong maybe a little sparse up top,

But come the other side and all is revealed.....

Have a closer look at those cuts....target pruning it aint

So we now have a gutter or row cut tree, but I see no power lines, nice funnel for wind though

And just look at the elongated limbs looking like crazy lions tails ripe for the breaking

Don't know which of our legend tree crews up here did the work, could be any of about six. Bet they're proud of their days work
For the rest of us maybe such crap work can be used to remind us of the need to take into account what changes any proper pruning or removals might have on the tree(s) that remain.
