I did!
I set the rope on the limb to be removd with a running bowline and then set the rope higher in the tree, brought it to the ground, and tied it off(all done with a throw line from the ground before entering the tree). I untied it after I got down and lowered it to the ground. I also used the end running to the ground as speed line a couple of times after it was loaded but no photo.
If you look in the photo on the other side of the tree from me you can see the rope tied to the hanging limb. The butt end of the limb is sticking out behind my head. This limb hung in the tree until I got to the ground and lowered it.
