when i got my husky 51 i assumed all huskys ran 40 to 1 because of my 141.i asked my dealer and he said the 51 runs 50 to 1.I ran it at 50 to 1 and haven't had a problem yet.yeah run the best octane fuel available because the oil breaks down the octane rating.if you run 93 after its mixed it would be about 80 octane rating.use stabil if you leave gas in your garage to.
I was doing a 1:50 mix with some knock off oil and 87 octain mix .... but after that problem I bought the jred oil and 93 octain.... I have not needed to run the saw in a few weeks. But the tank is empty now b/c knew it would be a month or so before I would be using either saw.

How long is the mix good for in a air tight container .... I know it will depend on the temp change it sees.
