Well ,i was born into it ,my great grandfather was a faller thats a long long time ago guess its in my genes. My Father work as a groundie for a local tree lopper at the time he was 17.Then he started the climbing side of things,in 1970 he started his own business(ace tree removals).I was born 3 years later and on weekends and school holiday i was shown the ropes. When i was 12 i could use a chainsaw, drive bobcats,trucks,cars,ewp..etc can't do that these day if your 12 thats a no no

.In 1997 i finished my Arborist course, 1 year after my dad ended this climbing career, you can see he's 40 year old climbing gear on show ya saddle thread (thats old school) it was all hand made by a blacksmith.I have had a go of that gear,

hard work.By the end of 1997 the business had grow to over 64 employees, then hard times came along, so we looked for other work which lead to the start of ace energy services (public street lighting). Now my younger brother and dad run this and it has grown to be Victoria wide, but i still enjoy the tree side of things, now i have 15 men under me and we are growing again, hot off the press, we have just purchase a new 60m (200ft) travel tower from overseas and it will be here in late June 2008.So you can see why it takes so long for me to reply busy, busy. My wife thinks am a workaholic but i still have that passion for tree work and love to be apart of this Tree World site, well done Eric ,never thought i would be talking to people from around the world about trees. This is all i have ever done and know, but you still learn new things everyday.
