I had a brawl with a deer hunter a few years back. I went along with a hunting party and I was given a stick for rattling the bushes some 10 feet ahead of the hunters with the guns. I had to wear a stupid orange hat and jacket... Suddenly a deer jumped up and ran away from us and I remember thinking" Ow how cool is that!!!" but at the same time I heard the guy behind me cock his rifle... So I turned around and yelled that I'd slap him in the face with the stick if he took a shot. Well... He didn't...and the animal got away. But I was kinda banned from hunting parties from then on...As long as there is steak in our fridge, I guess I'm not on the hunt.  |
the heads are made from obssidian , from oregon . i do enjoy my hunting . you need to think of it like this , our odnr keeps a good eye on the animals we hunt , as in the seasons and so . amount allowed to harvest and so on
any given night there will be at least 5 deer across the road from my house , and the field past it most nights in the 20 s . the corn field that has been picked doen the road will be full of deer . take your glass to the sink . the glass stands for the animal habitat , food cover and such . ( where they live and feed ) start poring water in the glass . when you get to the top its full . and what runs over are the animals we harvest . they will more than likley die from starvation anyways . i dont kill anything i dont use . deer and other wild animals are so much better than the tame animals we eat every day . like your beef . now a days they put the fat on them to make them weigh more . more weight = more money . a whitetail deer is a beautiful animal . i enjoy watching them almost as much as i enjoy eating them . hoot
