Time flies windthrown, so how's things down your way? Don't be shy now. |
We have had the first ever hurricane warning on the Pacific Northwest Coast this year. Was a hurricane, but not as bad as the one back in 1962 (Columbus Day Storm). Still have some trees down from that blow. Then we had a foot of snow here two weeks ago. More snow than we have had in many years here. Brought gobs (er, that's
heaps in Aussy lingo) more trees down, and the power was out for a day. Then last week we got a lot of heavy rain that melted the snow. With the snow and rain, we had 8 inches of precip. in 5 days. Anyway, we now have about 200% of average snowpack up in the Cascades. We have had 53 inches of rain since July 1, '07 (rain year is July 1 to June 30, as we rarely get rain in summer here).
Been busy cleaning up the mass here, and looking for chainsaws for people down under...
