Hi all, I?m new here and wanted to check the validity of the problem I had with my Jred Cs2159 c. I bought it 2 years ago and have used it for about 80 hrs before it started to run like crap? so I brought it in to the dealer I got it from for a tune up. The dealer adjusted the carb. And gave it back to me and it just didn?t seem to run like she used to ?. So after a few weeks I sent it back to him and this time he said I need to stop running cheap gas in it ?. He says I need to run the highest octane I can get and only use gas that is less than 30 days old and if it has been mixed with 2 stroke oil it is then only good for 14 days. He put a new carb. on her and she seems to run good so far. I have now started to run both of my saws out of gas completely so they are stored with no gas in the tank and will always have fresh gas when I go out next.
This is a PIA for me b/c I don?t cut every day or every week ? I have had my 023 for 13 yrs and never had a problem like this. Could you guys toss me a line on this?
